6583 - Spire Cove
2013 Alaska – Cal - First place, NANPA Tier III award; Audubon - Semi Finalist; Tens of thousands of years ago, the movement of glaciers created the Kenia Fjords. Along the shoreline steep cliffs and sharp rocks clearly define the path of the movement of those huge glaciers. Over the centuries, the wind and sea have eroded the softer rock leaving the granite towers of Spire Cove. Birds have made their home at the top of the center spire and you can see them circling. The blue green glacier water is in contrast to the early morning fog highlighting the beauty of this wondrous place on earth.
